The HyperDisk lets you carry up to 2TB of data right in your pocket.
When it comes to portable SSD drives, the Samsung T5 is a popular choice among indie filmmakers (especially BMPCC shooters). It’s small, rugged, and has a fast read and write speed of about 540MB/s.
That’s not too shabby.
But then you see something that shakes everything up.
The HyperDisk, a portable SSD that’s live on Kickstarter right now, is not only smaller (by a pinch) than the Samsung T5, but it’s faster and more affordable…like, by a lot.
The HyperDisk features a super tiny design, up to 2TB of storage, and is compatible with all Mac and Windows computers, iPhones and iPads, as well as Android smartphones and tablets that support Type C OTG.
However, the most impressive feature of the HyperDisk has to be its blazing-fast read/write speeds. This little guy can handle up to 1000MB/s thanks, in part, to its Intel flash technology.
